This October (2026), two of the largest events in technology are taking place at

opposite ends of the Vegas Strip. The HR Tech Conference & Expo and Money 2020 USA. Each is the largest event in their respective lanes, and the irony of these two converging in Vegas this fall mirrors what has been happening well beyond the Strip that most HR leaders have paid little attention to.

The irony, and reality, is that the ‘future of money’ and the ‘future of work’ are no longer operating on separate parallel tracks. HR tech and fintech are quickly converging at the intersection of the employee, work, and consumer experiences.
